The following is the preliminary proposal for the Hospitality Certificate at the Ulster County BOCES by Blue Hudson Group.


Goals-
  • Provide Skill Certification Program to meet the needs of the Hospitality Industry in the Ulster County
  • Attract, educate and train the right individual for a Career in Hospitality in the Ulster County.


Goals/Benefits:

Attract motivated staff – By assessing personality type of individuals looking to explore a career that provides people connections, flexibility, relationships, diversity, growth and travel.

Provide Adequate Training – By building a curriculum that prepares individuals to start or continue a career in hospitality when the industry doesn’t have the resources to maintain continue education.

Reduce Turnover - By educating staff about the reality of the job, build the right expectations, awareness of potential and commitment, encouraging staff to plan a career path. 

Improve Customer Satisfaction - By building communication skills, customer service and an understanding of the business, students are trained to deliver quality service with confidence, which is the key of profitability in the hospitality industry. 

Improve Employee Satisfaction – By delivering more knowledgeable, competent employees who know their job inside and out. The certification promotes job satisfaction, loyalty and pride.
